Ember Pulse explores the tension between stillness and energy, inviting viewers to become both the source and sculptor of a shared, reactive flame.

Challenge
an interactive motion-driven installation built in TouchDesigner that transforms human movement into dynamic, flame-like visuals. Using real-time camera input, the system tracks the body’s rhythm, gestures, and energy, translating them into a living “digital fire” that reacts instantly to motion.
Solution
The project explores the idea of human presence as heat, pulse, and momentum — turning movement into an expressive visual language. Ember Pulse creates an immersive feedback loop between the body and the screen, where even subtle shifts in posture spark new patterns of light, color, and intensity.
